I’m so glad that “How to Look Good Naked” is back on for Season 2 (full episodes available online). I applaud the honesty of the women who appear on the show for revealing the depth of the pain created by body loathing. And I applaud the program for being one of the few (if not only) shows on television to feature a variety of female body types in a positive manner. How beautiful are the models in Kelly’s mirror exercise? Gorgeous, curvy women portrayed in a favorable light? Yes, please, may I have some more?

And how stunning is Kelly in her sexy, black lingerie?
As for the second season of the show, I like the changes, especially the move to hour-long episodes. I also like the addition of the catwalk–I hope that this is a regular feature. This allows for a more in-depth exploration of the impact of body loathing on the featured women’s lives.
In the first season, every time I would watch this show I would find myself wishing for the nude photo shoot. Now, I want to walk the runway in my undies and high heels!

Its so strange these little coincidences. I was watching TV last night and saw this programme for the first time ( I have been in america). So I was quite excited about it. But when I woke up I couldn’t remember the name of it. I hop on to my blog site and your writing about it on yours. Yay. Going to go watch it now!
Let me know what you think. I think that the show should be called “How to FEEL Good Naked,” or perhaps, “How to Feel Good Nearly Naked.”
I LOVE it. I used to hate that guy but wow he has gone up in my opinion. Just goes to show you cant judge a book by its cover. It was great!!!! I downloaded them all!! I cant believe this made it on to mainstream TV. There is literally no pressure on them to lose weight. It is so novel. I just hope this is a sign that things are changing. It really made me look at myself and realise that Im not even trying. I have been hiding like those girls….too afraid to just be myself and dress well etc. It was really motivating.

Your point is well taken about hiding and being afraid to be yourself and dress well. One of the devastating effects of the “thin ideal” is that we lose heart, and in effect, lose ourselves.
I know that when I stand in my full power, everything else falls away. When I forget that power, I feel like I start to disappear.
I agree with your hope that this show is an indication that things are changing.
I love this show, It’s just so amazing how they transform even without those painful surgeries.
