Congratulations to Whitney on becoming America’s Next Top Model (I wish I had a picture of her in that pink Versace dress from the finale). My favorite line from tonight’s episode comes courtesy of the make-up artist preparing Whitney for the final runway show:
You’re the first juicy booty to make it to the runway.
All season long, Whitney has been referred to as the “plus-size” model. Tonight Tyra corrected that term and said that she was the “full-figured” model. Whitney has curves, but she’s neither plus-sized or full-figured. Still, I’m glad a woman with a more ”average” sized body will have a chance to be in the media as a representation of beauty. I’ll be curious to see what kind of media coverage she receives as the first full-figured winner.

That hot pink Versace dress was dynamite!
I wa so happy she won, I cried. *blushes*
I thought I was about to cry, too! Then I realized I only wanted to cry b/c I would never own that pink Versace. *hahaha!* Man, that was one fine dress.
I would so wear that dress!
She totally blew Anya away during the runway. I would like to see her as a redhead!
Her measurements are 36″-32″-43″ (US), per her profile on Elite. That would make her approximately a 14/16 dress size according to the Saks.com Women’s General Sizing Guide that I used for reference.
I personally take issue with the graphic on her myspace page, in particular the text below it “Skinny is 4 punks!” I was ready to congratulate her on her win and overlook the way the show was edited to emphasize sizist remarks made by her (for drama, reality shows aren’t real) until I saw that graphic.
